What if the greatest battle you’ll ever fight is the one you cannot see?
Mara has faced the unthinkable—abuse, betrayal, and loss—but nothing can prepare her for the final battle ahead. As demons scheme in the shadows and angels stand guard, she must confront her deepest fears. With her marriage hanging by a thread, an abandoned child thrust into her arms, and a relentless enemy determined to destroy all she holds dear, Mara must decide: will she trust in God’s sovereignty, or will fear consume her?
As darkness closes in, her faith is tested like never before. The forces of evil will stop at nothing to break her spirit. But Mara clings to one truth—God’s love is greater, His power stronger, and prayer can change everything. Yet, in her final days, with her life at risk, will she find the courage to stand victorious?
A breathtaking conclusion to The Victory Series, Maranatha: The Victory Battle is a heart-pounding Christian suspense novel that will challenge, inspire, and awaken you to the unseen war raging around us all. Your prayer life will never be the same.
“A powerful, faith-filled thriller in the vein of Frank Peretti. Turner delivers an unforgettable journey of spiritual warfare, redemption, and unshakable faith.” — Creston Mapes, Bestselling Author

More from Blossom
Have you ever felt like something or someone is watching you? Have you ever experienced darkness in a fully lit room? Or wondered if a malevolent force was working against you?
We all love stories of angels and God’s love and protection, but we also have an enemy… a living, breathing adversary who comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Ephesians 6:12 says: “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” (NKJV)
This series—The Victory Series—found me. My genre is historical romance. I was building a following, won some awards, and loved what I was doing. But as I finished up my last series, the Holy Spirit made it very clear that Mara would be my next project. From my own experiences of childhood abuse and my marriage under fire, I added enough fiction to protect real-life people and created a story that reveals the unseen spiritual world hard at work—both benevolent and malevolent forces.
We do not fight alone. In this third and final book of this series, Mara comes face-to-face with evil attacks on her children and on the very life force within her. She must choose whether to remain faithful to the end or give in to the narrative the enemy of her soul whispers to her and to us all: God does not love you or care what you are going through—He never has.
Mara’s birth to death story unfolds in a unique, riveting, and page-turning experience that will alert you to events taking place in the unseen spiritual realm.
You will be entertained, (nothing wrong with that) but you will also come away with a greater appreciation for prayer, for Christ, and for His work on the cross. You may even view the trials of life in a new encouraging way. The battle is real—but the One by our side is victorious.
My Thoughts:
Maranatha, the Victory Battle, by Blossom Turner, is the most impactful fiction work I have ever read in conjunction with the first two books in the Victory series—Mara, The Unseen Battle and Mara, In the Face of Battle. And I don’t make this claim lightly.
While the series is not an easy read, especially if you have difficulty with stepping into anything to do with dark spiritual forces, it’s a must-read for Christians. The author’s take on the spiritual battle, which is present around us whether we believe it or not, is masterful. She brings to life how the enemy methodically works to kill, steal, and destroy our faith in God and the work He sets before us. Satan’s minions have a point of view, and although this is a work of fiction, their schemes are in line with what scripture tells us.
In this third book in the series, Mara Brennan and her husband Lucas have worked through his betrayal of the previous book and are on the road to marital recovery. This spurs the enemy to bring more spiritual attack into their lives with the hope that they can snatch them out of the Lord’s hands and make a wreck of their testimony.
The enemy seeks a foothold and will attempt to use those around us to bring us down. Those who do not have the protection of the Holy Spirit easily succumb to their wicked wiles. In this case, they use the woman who lured Lucas to betray Mara in the previous book. They plant evil into the hearts of those who serve Satan and continually speak lies and justification to manipulate the outcome.
If I were to say more, I would give away too much of the book.
I believe the more we are a threat to the enemy, the more we will be attacked. It makes sense that Mara, having overcome a brutally abusive childhood despite the physical scars she bears, will be a target. She has a powerful story to share that encourages others to keep the faith and walk through whatever fiery trials come their way.
Although Mara is victorious (this is not a spoiler, since the book is literally titled Maranatha, and the Victory Battle), the reader can see her struggles with sin and how the Lord shapes her heart through the years. It’s His victory, not Mara’s, which is a critical takeaway from this book.
I would love to delve more deeply into the storyline, but then I’d ruin it for future readers. As dark as the story becomes, it strengthened my perspective on the truth of who God is and the spiritual battles that we all must face. I am now better able to recognize how the enemy works, starting with my thoughts. For that, I praise Blossom Turner and her divine work through The Victory series.
When I got to the end, I was filled with joy and peace I had not expected. A dark story? Yes. But the author leaves her readers with the happiest ending possible. And that is quite a feat!

It is!
As a big fan of Frank Peretti, I am certainly interested in reading this series. I am eager to see how Blossom Turner presents the spiritual warfare.

She definitely brings it to life.
What was your biggest writing accomplishment?
Hi Jamie,
I would have to say that my biggest writing accomplishment is this series. Publishing three books in nine months has been a lot of work…especially when the writing is not AI.
Of course I started the writing a year ago but to coordinate the writing, edits, covers, publishing, and marketing has been an overwhelming task. I thank the ONE who is far greater than an AI for the help I received in writing this series. To God be the glory!
A big thank you to Jennifer Sienes who read and reviewed this series. She really understands the heart of the series and the message behind the story. Thank you for your heartfelt review.
